In order to attend college you must complete the FAFSA. Before filing out the FAFSA,  you must first apply for a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov and complete the pre-application worksheet (both student and parent must apply for a pin number).  Once you have your pin numbers, you can begin apply on-line for the FAFSA after January 1, 2009 at www.fafsa.ed.gov .   Worksheets will be available in the Guidance Office or can be downloaded from the web-site. The FAFSA is your HOPE (lottery) scholarship application.
